Prefelt is created from extra fine 19 micron merino and is used to speed up the felting process.
This is a non-woven and partially felted fabric which requires further felting for strength. The partial felting allows the wool fibres to connect enough for handling and cutting. It can be used as a felting base for clothing as well as wet and needle felting plus it can be dyed with acid or natural dyes. To eliminate packaging creases roll it around a tube. Made from Australian and South American merino.
