Porcelaine 150 can be applied to all heat-stable bases that are able to withstand a temperature of 150oC (300oF) porcelain, china, glazed earthenware, terracotta, metal, enamelled sheet steel, copper and glass. Ready for use, Porcelaine 150 can be diluted with filler undercoat. The colours are applied with a brush directly to a perfectly degreased base. Before baking, it is possible to correct an error or remove a colour using a cotton swab soaked in water. Allow to dry for 24 hours in air before baking. After baking, the colours are indelible. The thicker that the colour is applied, the longer the drying time has to be. In fact, the colour should be completely dry so as to prevent the formation of bubbles during baking. All porcelain painting techniques can be used with Pebeo’s Porcelaine 150 colours. The colours in the range can be superimposed by observing a drying time of 10 minutes between each pass. Porcelaine 150 colours naturally assume a glossy appearance after baking. To produce a matt finish, add a few drops of matt medium to the colour before application. Porcelaine 150 outliners can be used for outlining work. They are baked in the same way as the colours.
