Edible Glitter is wonderful for adding highlights to cakes, cupcakes, biscuits, meringues and other edibles.
There are basically 3 classes of glitter which makes it easy to work out what's best for your project:
Craft Glitter - usually made of glass or aluminium and definitely not edible
Non-Toxic Glitter - some people say this can be used on edibles as it's non-toxic. Children's craft paint is non-toxic but I wouldn't pour it on my muesli...
Edible Glitter - Gum Arabic or similar base and designed for cake decorating.
We have 2 types of Edible Glitter - flakes which are larger pieces and 'flakey' as well as edible dust which is super-fine and great for highlights. In addition there's Sanding Sugar.
